Starting Monday, August 1, 2022, the 500 and 600 blocks of Jefferson Street will be closed for construction. This closure includes the intersection of 6th and Jefferson. During this closure, 6th Street overpass vehicular traffic will be detoured to the Central and Washington overpass. The sidewalk on this two-block stretch will remain open during roadway construction, and the 300 block of 7th Street has been converted to two-way traffic to alleviate congestion in the area. This phase of construction is expected to last three months.
