The Public Works Directors Office announced today that road construction on the 2019 HMA Resurfacing Project is expected to start on the morning of 10/1/2019 on the southernmost (eastbound) lane of Agency Street between Shields Street and Gratton Street. This area of the road will be receiving a new asphalt surface. The roadway will be reduced to a single lane in this area. Traffic will be allowed to turn to and from Shield Street, Emmett Street, and Gratton Street, but lanes may be uneven in this area. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution if they cross the construction area in these locations. Construction activity in this area is expected to last 2-3 weeks, depending on the weather.
