The National Weather Service predicted the Mississippi River to crest in Burlington at 19.5 feet, triggering our response. Operations to protect the downtown area, the Auditorium, and the Market Street Lift Station against Mississippi River flooding are expected to begin Tuesday, September 27th, 2016. Due to these operations, 1/2 of the north Auditorium parking lot will be closed.
The National Weather Service currently has a projected crest of 19.5 feet for Sunday October 2nd.
