Starting Monday, July 6th 2020, construction personnel will begin to mobilize for the resurfacing of Central Avenue. The project will replace asphalt pavement on Central Avenue from Angular Street to Harrison Ave. Construction will occur in two phases to minimize the impact on surrounding residents. The City encourages residents to utilize alley access and side streets when construction is active in your area to avoid being towed. Signage will be displayed in tow-away zones 72 hours before the start of work.
Phase I – Angular to South Street
Mobilize & Mill 1 week
Patch Underlying Pavement. 1-3 Weeks Depending on Condition
HMA Overlay 1-2 Weeks
Phase II – South Street to Harrison
Assuming 5 weeks for Phase 1, Approximate Start of Phase II is August 10
Mobilize & Mill 1 week

HMA Overlay 1-2 Weeks
ADA Sidewalk Ramp Construction – this activity will take place throughout the course of the project after paving is complete, but will not require major road closures.
