The City of Burlington's City Academy is a free 8-week series of evening classes designed to inform participants how their local government works for them. Our City Academy provides an opportunity to engage and learn firsthand how decisions are made within each department. If you are interested in learning more about the inner workings of the City, we invite you to apply!
This academy will include group walking tours of city facilities for a behind-the-scenes look at how each department operates. Presentations will also be given by local city officials, department directors, as well as staff. Participants will walk away with a wealth of knowledge on how the City of Burlington runs and operates.
Classes are held weekly from 5:30 pm- 7:30 pm on Thursday evenings for 8 weeks beginning in February. We encourage anyone applying to be available to attend all scheduled classes in order to get the most out of the academy.
