The City of Burlington adopted an Ordinance in July 1993 that regulates trucked liquid waste discharged to the City’s Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW). Liquid waste haulers are required to have a permit and are billed monthly for the volume discharged to cover treatment costs, sample handling and analysis.
