October 1, 2001
The Burlington City Council met in regular session at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor Scott, Council
Members Edwards, Kellogg, Thomas and Wehrle present.

PRESENTATION OF SURVEY RESULTS BY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
DISCUSSION: The City Manager stated that the City mailed out 12,700 surveys to property
owners in late July 2001. He stated that the City received a 21% response rate. He stated that
citizens could review the findings of the survey in the City Clerk's Office or the Library. The
Development Director reviewed with the Council and the viewing audience the findings of the
survey. He further stated that results of the survey would be available on the City's website on
October 11, 2001. Mayor Scott stated that the City has spent a lot of time and monies on streets
and sewers in Burlington. Council Member Edwards echoed Mayor Scott's comment. All
present had opportunity to speak and nothing additional was filed in the office of the City Clerk.
CONSENT AGENDA: To the Public:
All matters listed under Item I., Consent Agenda, having been discussed were considered to be
routine by the City Council and were enacted by one motion. There was not separate discussion
of these items. If discussion was desired, that item was removed from the Consent Agenda and
was considered separately.
MOTION: To approve all listed under Item I., Consent Agenda.

RESOLUTIONS:
1. Introduce Resolution of Necessity for the 2002 Alley Improvement Project from Green
Street to Dill Street, between Leebrick Street and Garfield Avenue
DISCUSSION: Mayor Scott stated that Council would introduce and table the Resolution of
Necessity for the 2002 Alley Improvement Project from Green Street to Dill Street, between
Leebrick Street and Garfield to the November 5, 2001 City Council Meeting. He stated that the
tabling of the Resolution of Necessity was required by State law to allow time for the City Clerk
to provide notice to affected property owners of the hearing. All present had opportunity to
speak and nothing additional was filed in the office of the City Clerk.
