February 23, 1998

The Burlington City Council met in Special/Executive Session at 4:30 p.m. with Mayor Scott, Council Members Edwards, Henry, and Thomas, present. Council Member Wright participated via electronic communications.

SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE ACKNOWLEDGED

RESOLUTION SETTING DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING: March 16, 1998

1. Consideration of An Ordinance Amending Chapter 17.16 of the Municipal Code to Rezone 19.27 Acres Located Approximately 1/4 Miles East of the Intersection of Gear Avenue and West Burlington Avenue, from R-1A (One-Family Residential) to P.U.D. (Planned Unit Development

DISCUSSION: The Interim City Manager stated that the Council needed to set date for public hearing for Consideration of An Ordinance Amending Chapter 17.16 of the Municipal Code to Rezone 19.27 Acres Located Approximately 1/4 Miles East of the Intersection of Gear Avenue and West Burlington Avenue, from R-1A (One-Family Residential) to P.U.D. (Planned Unit Development for the March 16, 1998 City Council meeting due to the fifteen to twenty day publication requirement in the Hawk Eye. All present had opportunity to speak and nothing additional was filed in the office of the City Clerk.

(VOTE: 5 - "AYES") ADOPTED

MOTION: To go into Executive Session for the purpose of: To discuss the purchase of particular real estate only where premature disclosure could be reasonably expected to increase the price the governmental body would have to pay for that property as per State Code, Chapter 21.5.1.(j).

(VOTE: 5- "AYES") CARRIED

MOTION: That the Executive Session be adjourned, and Council go back into Special Meeting.

DISCUSSION: None.
