The Burlington City Council met in special session at 4:30 p.m. with Mayor Scott, Council Members Edwards, Henry, Thomas, and Wright present.

SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE ACKNOWLEDGED

RESOLUTION SETTING DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING: May 18, 1998

1. Consideration of Plans and Specifications for the 1998 Mason Road Detention Basin Construction

DISCUSSION: None.

(VOTE: 5 - "AYES") ADOPTED

RESOLUTIONS:

1. Resolution Adopting Code of Conduct in Regard to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs

DISCUSSION: The City Manager stated that the Resolution Adopting Code of Conduct in Regard to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs was a formal Resolution that Council needed to approve to receive CDBG funding. The Development Director reviewed with Council the requirements of the Code of Conduct. All present had opportunity to speak and nothing additional was filed in the office of the City Clerk.

(VOTE: 5 - "AYES") ADOPTED

2. Resolution Adopting Procurement Policy in Regard to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs

DISCUSSION: The Development Director stated that the Resolution Adopting Procurement Policy in Regard to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs provided that projects more than $25,000.00 would require that bids be formally taken and approved by Council. All present had opportunity to speak and nothing additional was filed in the office of the City Clerk.

(VOTE: 5- "AYES") ADOPTED
