The Burlington City Council met in special session at September 8, 1997 at 4:15 p.m. with
Mayor Sandell, Council Members Heland, Henry, Scott and Thomas, present.
SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE ACKNOWLEDGED
RESOLUTIONS:
1. Resolution Awarding Contract for the 1997 ACC Resurfacing Project
DISCUSSION: The City Manager stated that the proposed Resolution awards contract to Shipley Contracting Corporation in the amount of $238,397.83. She stated that the value of the alternate bid also provides for needed curb and gutter repair on Iowa Street, 5th to 7th Street. The Public Works Director stated that the City received good prices for the construction project. All present had opportunity to speak and nothing additional was filed in the office of the City Clerk.

RESOLUTION SETTING DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING: September 15, 1997
1. Consideration of An Encroachment Agreement with Metro Plains Development, Inc. for the
Installation of a Staircase on the East Side of Hotel Burlington
DISCUSSION: None.
