Geographic Information System (GIS)

The City of Burlington, Iowa, in conjunction with the Des Moines County GIS Commission, is pleased to announce the trial availability of GIS data through a third party service called PVWeb. Access to this system is provided in the hope it will be useful and interesting, but the PVWeb system should not be considered authoritative source for official data.

As of January 2006, the Des Moines County GIS system has switched to a new service provider called Varion Systems. It is our hope that users will new system  be easier to use and more convenient than the previous system. Additionally, access to GIS information is now free of cost, and paid accounts will no longer be required.
