City Council Approves Community Development Programs
The City Council has approved funding for two Community Development Programs for the upcoming year. The Sidewalk Program has been re-funded at $18,000 for 2008-09. Information and applications are available with the Community Development Department. The Demolition Program has been funded at $40,000 for 2008-09.
Earth Day Cleanup
The annual Earth Day cleanup in the Burlington area will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008. This event is organized by the Keep Burlington Beautiful Committee. Individuals and groups may register at the Port of Burlington, beginning at 8:30 AM on Saturday and will receive a free t-shirt and directed to a clean-up site. Clean-up will be followed by a free lunch at the Port from 11:00 to 12:30 PM.
