CHAPTER 130

LICENSING OF AUCTIONEERS

130.01 License Required

130.01    LICENSE REQUIRED. No auctioneer shall conduct any auction or sale in the City without first obtaining an annual auctioneer’s license in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.

130.02    LICENSE APPLICATION. A written application shall be filed with the Clerk and shall contain the name and address of the applicant, the location of the applicant’s business and such other information as required by the Clerk.

130.03    LICENSE FEE. The fee schedule for an auctioneer’s license shall be as established by resolution of the Council.

130.04    ISSUANCE. If the application is in the proper form, the Clerk shall issue a license to the applicant.

130.05    PENALTY. Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be subject to the penalties set forth in Section 1.14 of this Code of Ordinances.
