27.01 ESTABLISHED. There is established an Advisory Committee for the Flint Hills Municipal Golf Course.
27.02 MEMBERSHIP; TERM. The Committee consists of seven (7) members: five (5) members appointed by the Council to serve staggered three-year terms from January 1 through December 31 each year; and the City Manager and Golf Course General Manager, who shall serve as ex officio members without voting power. 27.03 VACANCIES. In the event a vacancy should occur, the Council shall appoint a new member to fill the unexpired term. If a member fails to attend three (3) regular meetings in a row, that person may be requested to resign and a vacancy may be declared. (Ord. 3202 – Feb. 05 Supp.)
27.04 CHAIRPERSON AND SECRETARY. The Advisory Committee shall, at its first meeting following January 1 of each year, appoint a Chairperson and Secretary from its membership.
27.05 MEETINGS. The Advisory Committee shall meet quarterly or at the call of the Chairperson. (Ord. 3202 – Feb. 05 Supp.)
27.06 COMPENSATION. The members of the Advisory Committee shall serve as such without compensation.
27.07 POWERS AND DUTIES. The Advisory Committee shall have the following powers and duties:
To investigate and to make inspections and surveys as needed to achieve effective development of the Flint Hills Municipal Golf Course and to make appropriate recommendations on this objective to the Council;
To develop a comprehensive golf course development plan and to recommend it to the Council;
To recommend to the Council rules and regulations, including fee schedules, for the use and management of the Flint Hills Municipal Golf Course.
