CHAPTER 18

CITY TREASURER

18.01 Appointment

18.03 Duties of Treasurer

18.02 Compensation


18.01    APPOINTMENT. The City Manager shall appoint, subject to Council approval, a City Treasurer to serve for a term of two (2) years.

18.02    COMPENSATION. The Treasurer is paid such compensation as specified by resolution of the Council.

18.03    DUTIES OF TREASURER. The duties of the Treasurer are as follows:

  1. Reconciliation. Reconcile the bank statements and the finance officer’s books and records and certify monthly to the Council the balance of cash and investments of each fund and amounts received and disbursed.

  2. Other Duties. Perform such other duties as specified by the Council by resolution or ordinance.
